Mabel 'Ruth' Jones

JONES FAIRHOPE Mabel ‘Ruth’ Jones, age 88, a native of Atmore, AL and a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Ruth was a member of Pine Level Primitive Church in Atmore, and a longtime member of the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary in Fairhope. She owned and operated Ruth’s House of Beauty in Fairhope for many years and then went on to continue working throughout the area. She is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Jones. She is survived by her son, Jerry Jones (Shelia) of Eight Mile, AL; daughter, Peggy Jones ( Robert ) of Fairhope; three grandchildren, Amanda Snead, Darren Owens and Brad Jones; two great grandchildren, Cathrine and Cayden Snead; two sisters, Faye Smith of Georgia and Betty Hutto of Mt. Holly, NC; many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, July 14, 2014 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
