Dorsey Ray Henderson, Sr.

FAIRHOPE SFC Dorsey Ray Henderson, Sr. age 89, a lifelong resident of Fairhope, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014. He was a US WW II, Korea, Vietnam Veteran; he was a decorated hero, who loved his family and country. He is survived by his wife of 64 ½ years, Louise Henderson of Fairhope; three daughters, Shirley (Kenneth) Jerkins of Spanish Fort, Linda (James) Horechny of Fairhope, and Brenda Andresen of Corvallis, OR; four sons, David (Pam) Henderson of Fairhope, Dorsey Ray (Cheryl) Henderson, Jr. of Fairhope, James (Sherrie) Henderson of Barnwell and Joseph (Dee Dee) Henderson of Foley; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; four great, great, grandchildren; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 12:30 PM from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Interment with military honors will follow at 2:30 PM in Alabama State Memorial Veterans Cemetery at Spanish Fort.
