KILLINGSWORTH FOLEY, AL Pearl M. (Arant) Killingsworth, age 92, a native of Mississippi and a resident of Foley, AL passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014. Pearl was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Foley for close to 75 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also volunteered at the Church office after her retirement from Gulf Telephone Company. She was an active participant in the prayer ministry, Prayer Partners. She used her sewing skills to make dozens of aprons for new members of the church. Until the last few years, she also used her computer skills to make labels for birthday cards for the church. She included hand written notes in each card. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 60 years and held many offices during that time. She is preceded in death by her husbands; Luther M. Arant of Foley and John C. (Jake) Killingsworth of Mobile, sisters; Essie Funk and Tessie Garner, brothers; Doyle and J. L. Morgan and George (Sonny) Fairley. Survivors include her daughter , Patricia Arant (Roger) Green of Pensacola, grandson , Alex (Beth) Green of Tampa, FL., great grandchildren, Michael and Megan Green of Tampa, FL., step-daughters, Debbie (Frank) Norton and Donna (Ray) Wilkins of Mobile, step-son, Mitch (Suzanne) Killingsworth of Mobile, nephew, Alton (Ann) McCullough of Daphne, nieces and nephews, Kenneth and J. D. Morgan, Carolyn Hill, Velma Davies, Cliff Garner, Pauline McCulloch, Susan Swanson and Lora Day. Special family friend, Connie Crosby Caldwell of Foley Funeral service will be held from the First Baptist Church of Foley, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service. Interment will follow in Pine Rest Memorial Park. A private memorial service will be held at Live Oak Village Assisted Living Facility for her many friends there. To Pearl , Live Oak was not just a place to live; it was HOME. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Live Oak Village Assisted Living for their care and devotion to Pearl in the last days and weeks.
