Charles Cornelious Phillips

PHILLIPS ORANGE BEACH, AL Charles C. Phillips,age 79 , born in Hattiesburg,MS,and a resident of Orange Beach, AL. passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollon and Arzella Phillips, and grandson, J. Gary Lee, Jr. He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Betty Barron Phillips; son, Jimmy Phillips, Morgan City, LA; daughters Sherry (Gary) Lee, Mobile; Cindy (Kenny) Michel, Morgan City; Dena (Don) McKee, Dauphin, AL; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Arva Etta (Walt) Sylvester and Marie (Bob) Burge, Hattiesburg, MS., numerous nieces and nephews, and his extended church family. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Orange Beach, AL, the Jones County (MS) Amateur Radio Club and the Bear Point Civic Assn. The family wishes to acknowledge the caring staff of Gentiva Home Health Services. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, AL on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 2:00PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service.
