SPANISH FORT Mary Frances Whigham age 79, a native of Toxey and a resident of Spanish Fort, departed this life to be with her Lord on May 9, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel W. Whigham; her parents, Douglas and Frances Jackson; her granddaughter, Kelly Amanda Warren and her brother, Douglas G. Jackson, Jr. Mary was a member of the Saraland United Methodist Church for 28 years and a member of Spanish Fort United Methodist Church since 1993. She was the secretary for the Shadowlawn Baptist Church for 21 years and was secretary for the personnel department at the Mobile County Health Department until she retired. She was blessed all these years, she was able to enjoy many years of employment, traveling, sewing and gardening, but now she is enjoying all the glories of Heaven. Mary is survived by her children, Gary (Tonya) Whigham of Daphne and Sharon (Charlie) Warren of Huntsville; one brother, James E. (Judy) Jackson of Axis and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Spanish Fort United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Church. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM at Gilbertown Cemetery, Gilbertown, AL.
