Daniel Walton Gibson

DAPHNE Daniel Walton Gibson, age 68 a native of Troy and a resident of Daphne passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014. Dan graduated from Charles Henderson High School in Troy, attended Troy University and graduated from Auburn with a degree in building construction. He spent most of his career with W. G. Yates Construction managing many multi-million dollar projects on the Gulf Coast and retired in 2010. He was a long-time member of Eastern Shore Baptist Church and the Christian Business Men’s Connection. He became a member of the Gideons International in recent years. He is survived by his wife, Doris Gibson of Daphne; one son, Walton Colby Gibson of Huntsville; one sister, Diane Head of Birmingham Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12 at 11:00 AM at Eastern Shore Baptist Church in Daphne. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
