Doreen Hart Thom

FAIRHOPE, AL Doreen Hart Thom, age 82, a native of British Columbia, Canada, a Naturalized United States Citizen, and a resident of Fairhope, AL passed away, Monday, March 31, 2014. Doreen was a member of the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the hospital for more than 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband George Paterson Thom and son Ronald George Thom. She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Boyd (Bobby) of Wilmer, AL, Gayle Jones of Bradford, FL and Tracy Clay (David) of Fairhope, AL; six grandchildren, Kelly Navan-Hammack (Brein), Robyn Boyd, Patrick Jones (Louise Russell), Christopher Jones, Kristin Clay, and Kylee Clay; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathleen Cotton, of Ontario, Canada. A special acknowledgement to the surviving "lunch bunch" Mary Garey and Jane Kant. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Make-A-Wish Foundation in her memory.
