DADEVILLE, AL Tumpsie Trione, age 87, son of Angelo and Alvira Manci Trione, of Daphne, Al. passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Christine Pintarelli Trione and son, Dominic (David Reiley) Trione; also by his sister, Helen Trione Callaway, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives. After graduating from Fairhope High School, he was drafted into the U.S. Army during World War II. He served as a Mess Sergeant until being discharged. He was a bartender at Manci’s antique Club for many years. He worked for Moorman Feed Company for 15 years. He and his wife Christine operated the Tumpsie Trione catering business for many years. He was very active in many organizations throughout Baldwin County. Politicians and friends knew him as “Mr. Democrat”. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Christ the King Church in Daphne, AL, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to mass. Interment will follow in Belforest Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Chandler, Wade Davis, Steve Penry, David Reiley, Joel Sermon, and Eddie Westbrook. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Vincent DePaul Church, 620 Gilmer St. Tallassee, AL 36078 or the American Cancer Society.
