RININGER FOLEY, AL Norma Ruth Rininger, age 83, native of Cleveland, OH and resident of Foley, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a brief illness on Friday, January 31, 2014. Norma was a member of the Swift Presbyterian Church, Foley Lions Club, Friends of the Library, South Baldwin C.O.C. and the YMCA. She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church of Foley. Norma was preceded in death by a son, John E. Rininger. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John H. Rininger of Foley; three daughters, Susan (Ron) Schweller of Wilmington, OH, Julie McBride of Dayton, OH, Joan (Joel) Whitten of Baton Rouge, LA; three brothers, Tom (Carol) Barker of Hermitage, PA, Bob (Patti) Barker of Hendersonville, NC, Dan (Kathy) Barker of Bull Head City, AZ; sister-in-law, Jane C. Rininger of Oakwood, OH; four grandchildren, Travis (Kate) Schweller, Megan (Matt) Kaplan, Casey (BJ) Holtzman, Samuel John Perry Whitten; three great grandchildren, Laurel Schweller, Boyd Holtzman and Bob Holtzman. A Celebration of Norma’s life will be held in the spring. The family would like to thank all the staff at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, the people of Community Hospice and Dr. Greuel and Staff for their caring and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foley Library, Swift Presbyterian Church or a favorite charity.
