Mary Ida Stowe Shannon

FOLEY, AL. Mary Ida Henderson Stowe Shannon of Foley, AL, formerly of Plainview, TX, departed this earth on January 28, 2014 at the age of 96. She was born on March 10, 1917 to John Henry Henderson and Ora Leigh Harris Henderson in Roscoe, TX. She was one of nine children. Ida is survived by two sons, James Henry Stowe ( Linda) of Elberta, AL and Gerald Riddley Stowe ( Jearlean) of Foley, AL; nine grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; eighteen great great grandchildren; one brother, Jim Henderson (Earline) of Plainview, TX; one sister, Fannie Altenbaumer of Texas City, TX; many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Jason Stowe (Grandson), Chris Williams, Kenneth Williams, Jeramy Williams, Gary Williams, Nate Stowe (Great Grandsons), and James Lein (Friend). A visitation was held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, AL with graveside services and interment following at Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley, AL.
