Robert Clarence Urbanek

Robert Clarence Urbanek, age 90, a native of Milwaukee, WI and a longtime resident of Fairhope, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Robert was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Air Force Reserves.  He was a C-5A Quality Control Inspector at Brookley Field and at Lockheed-Martin in Marietta, GA.  He retired in 1979. Mr. Urbanek was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Faith Laraway Urbanek and son-in-law, Henry N. Harris. He is survived by his Children, Bobbie Harris, Steve (Karen) Urbanek and Peggy (Huey) Dunnam; Grandchildren, Scott (Joanna) Harris, Shawn (Scott) Eastman, Philip (Zahra) Urbanek, Leigh Anne (John) Chapman and Jason (Felicia) Bagley; Great grandchildren, Larkin and Mary Carlyle Harris, Emilie Ann and Elizabeth Eastman, Ian Morganthall, Hutton Chapman, Logan, Anslie and Ashlin Bagley; Brother-in-law, Frank (Pat) Laraway, all of Fairhope; Sister-in-law, Emilie Grace Panke of Hamburg, Germany; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends Mass of Christian Burial services will be held from St. Lawrence Catholic Church Saturday, January 25th, 2014, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until service time. Interment will be in Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, or to your favorite charity.
