David Delanor Bishop, Sr., age 79, a resident of Point Clear, AL, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. David was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Ruby Bishop; brothers, William Clifford Bishop and James Albert Bishop; children, Debra Faye Bishop and Barry John Bishop; and grandchildren, Shana Colleen, Tessa Faith, and Kara Michelle Bishop. He is survived by his wife Doris Pose Bishop, of 61 ½ years of Point Clear; children, David Delanor Bishop, Jr. (Sheila) of Seattle, WA, Michael J. Bishop (Joy) of Daphne, Vickie B. Young (Larry) of Fairhope, Tommy Bishop (Vonnie) of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Shenandoah Bishop (Rodney) of Fairhope, Brandon Bishop of Point Clear, Amy Spears (Michael) Kristy Bishop (Michael), Tiffany Benson (Tye), Crystal Cherney (Forrest), Amber Blankenship (Mick), Bryan Bishop (Cheryl), Jenna Tolbert (Nic), Kyle Young (Shelli), Jessica Bishop, Vanessa Mae Galabin, and Samantha Jane Venzon; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Gerald Aaron Bishop, Clarence Harrison Bishop (Sandra), and Robert Edward Bishop (Linda); sister Betty Jean Robbins (Alfred) of Heidelberg, MS; many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Interment to follow in Brook-Cedron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
