SPANISH FORT Elroy “Roy” Webb, age 86, a native of Coffeeville, AL. and a resident of Spanish Fort, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014. He proudly served in the Merchant Marines. Roy loved and fished the Mobile Delta, he was an excellent crappie fisherman as well as a good fisherman of any type. He was an avid hunter and a member of the Eastern Shore Antique Bottle Club. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Edison Webb and Bertie Truitt Webb and his siblings Edison Webb and Easter Opal Dickey. Roy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, LaTrelle Dozier Webb, originally of Thomasville, longtime resident of Spanish Fort; his daughter, Tammy Jackson-Rowell and her husband Mike Rowell of Fairhope; his grandson, Truitte Webb Jackson and Fallan Batchelor of Orange Beach; his surviving siblings, Gertrude Hope, Jeanette (James T.) Murray, Imogene Price, Donnie J. Webb, Judy Elesia Freeman and many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, Friday, January 17, 2014 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until time of funeral service. Interment will follow in Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
