WRAPE ELBERTA, AL. Charles Ivey Wrape, Age 80, a native of Rockingham, N.C; and a resident of Elberta, AL. passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at his residence. He was owner and operator of Wolfbay Lodge for 40 years. He was a US veteran serving in the Viet Nam and Korean wars, he was a chief parachute rigger of USS Shangri- LA and Honorary Submariner of the U.S.S. Sea Poacher (SS 406),member of Wearers of the Dolphins, also a member of the VFW Post #5658, Elks Lodge and American Legion. Mr. Wrape is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Marion Wrape and a son, Charles Phifer Wrape. Survivors include three daughters, Lois Ann Wrape (Tim) Willis of Danville, KY, Alice Ann Wrape Bretz of Foley, AL and Charlene Wrape (Tom) Haber of Lillian, AL; seven grandchildren, Courtney (Sean) Brumley, Whitney Haber, Megan Haber, Alicia Bretz, Lacey Bretz, Johnny Bretz, and Charles Keltner Willis; his beloved pet, man’s best friend, Homer; other relatives and friends. Graveside services and interment will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 12:30 pm at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL. A Celebration of his life will follow at the Wrape home. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or BARC.
