Roy Lee Barnhill

DAPHNE Roy Lee Barnhill, age 72, born in Nokomis, AL and a longtime resident of Daphne, AL, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at his home on Saturday morning, October 26th, 2013. Mr. Barnhill retired from Bellsouth Corporation in 2001 after 28 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, P.R. Barnhill and Ruby McGhee Barnhill. Mr. Barnhill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Barnhill; children, Brandon (Lisa) Barnhill of Mobile and Kelly Barnhill (Josh) Patrick of Birmingham; sister, Vernie Lee (Martin) Gehman; brothers, Dillard Barnhill, James Barnhill, Carl Barnhill and Kenneth Barnhill, all of Atmore. Mr. Barnhill is also survived by Tracy Hopkins Sylar and Jeff Hopkins, both of Gulf Shores, AL, and many other family members. Funeral services will be held from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, AL, on Monday, October 28, 2013, at 2:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the  start of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Covenant Hospice, 1040 Stanton Road, Suite D, Daphne, AL, 36526.
