Richard Lee

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO Richard Lee, age 86, of Colorado Springs, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 in his home after a long illness. Richard was born January 28, 1927 in Mobile, AL. He retired from over 50 years of Air Craft work and enthusiastically volunteered at Penrose Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs for 5+ years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lily Joan (Birch) Lee. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Edna Preston (Pete) and Kandice Cook (CPT Ronald); 2 brothers, George Lee and Calvin Newman; 2 sisters, Mary Alice Sparks and Patsy Ringsdorf; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; numerous  relatives and friends. Richard will be laid to rest Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
