Hershel W. Whigham

DAPHNE Hershel W. Whigham , age 84, departed this life to be with his Lord on September 26, 2013. Hershel was a member of the Saraland United Methodist Church for 28 years and a member of the Spanish Fort United Methodist Church since 1993. He was a member of the Masonic lodge in Gilbertown, AL. He retired from the State of Alabama in 1981 and has enjoyed many years of traveling. His hobbies were his antique cars and working in the yard. He will be remembered for his memory, the love of spending time with his friends, and the stories he told about his childhood. He is now enjoying all the glories of Heaven. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cooper and Clara Whigham; his granddaughter, Kelly Amanda Warren; three sisters, Flossie Singley, Flogene Reynolds, and Christine Cornett, and one brother Haskel Whigham. He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Whigham, their son, Gary (Tonya) Whigham all of Daphne, AL.; their daughter, Sharon (Charlie) Warren of Huntsville, AL; brother Kenneth (Marie) Whigham, of Gilbertown, AL; several nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Spanish Fort United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
