Edwin Coit Grissom

FAIRHOPE, AL Edwin C. Grissom, age 88, resident of Fairhope, AL, born in Etowah, TN, grew up in Birmingham, former resident of Atlanta, passed away, Monday, September 23, 2013. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. Mr. Grissom retired from Dennison Manufacturing Company with 30 years of service. Edwin was preceded in death by his only son, Edwin Coit Grissom, Jr.; two brothers, Winfred M. Grissom and William A. Grissom. He is survived by his wife, Shirley S. Grissom of Fairhope, AL; sister, Sarah Grissom Elliott of Birmingham, AL; granddaughter, Kristen Leigh Grissom Elmore of Plano, TX.; great grandson, Alexander Bradley Elmore of Dallas, TX; brother-in-law, Alan (Peggy) Sams of Daphne, AL; several nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at a later date.
