HERNANDEZ LILLIAN, AL. Whitney Antoine Hernandez, age 85, native of Plaquemine, LA and a resident of Lillian, AL for 43years passed away Monday, September 16, 2013. He served 21 years in the United States Air Force as a Air Craft Electrician. After retiring he then took a position at the Navy Base in Pensacola at the Navel Re-work Facility for 15 plus years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Faustine Daigle Hernandez, two brothers, Nelcon and Roy Hernandez, three sisters, Bella Kelly, Esma Kimble and Bessie Lambert. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Rita Kling Hernandez, five daughters: Paulette(Randy) Salsbury of Lake Charles, LA, Patricia(Leonard)Frey of Robertsdale, AL , Ramona Hernandez of Lillian, AL, Anita Clary(Friend Marty)of Baton Rouge, LA, Trudy Alms of Elsanor, AL, two sons; Michael Hernandez of Denham Springs, LA ,W. Jeff Hernandez of Mobile, AL , two sisters; Mabel Poche’ of Prairieville, LA and Sophie Ducote. Eleven Grandchildren and twelve Great-Grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be held from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lillian, AL Thursday, September, 19, 2013 at 11:00AM. Family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass.
