Richard James Curzon

CURZON, SR. FOLEY, AL Richard James Curzon, Sr., age 92, a native of Omaha, NE and a resident of Foley, AL passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013. Richard Curzon, Sr. was known for being a loving husband and father. He was a member of Swift Presbyterian Church and a Navy Veteran of WW II. A builder of model ships and a member of the Mayflower Society, he was a direct descendant of Francis Cooke. He was a local artist and art teacher, member of the local model airplane association and was a member of a barbershop quartet for a number of years singing in the Baldwin County area. He is survived by his wife June Curzon of Foley, AL, son; Richard ‘Rick’ Curzon, Jr. of Omaha, NE, daughters; Betty Hill of Arlington, VA., Mary Raymond of Foley, AL, a sister Betty Goodwin of Omaha, NE., grandchildren; Beth Halas, Vicky Carrier, Sarah Hill, Ashley Curzon, great grandchildren; Matthew and Katheryn Halas, Alaire Carrier and Charlotte Hill. Funeral services will be held at Swift Presbyterian Church, Foley, AL , Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 2:00PM. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Swift Presbyterian Church , 23208 Swift Church Rd. Foley, AL 36535 or to Community Hospice 2770 S. McKenzie St. Foley, AL 36535.
