EHMKA FOLEY Patsy Ruth Smith Ehmka age 76, a resident of Foley, AL for the last 26 years passed away after an extended illness, surrounded by her devoted children on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Patsy was born on July 1, 1936 in Pollock, LA, a resident of Birmingham, AL for many years. She worked at various real estate agencies in relocation and land title. She was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church and an active member and dedicated volunteer of the American Legion, Post 99 in Gulf Shores, AL. She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald William Ehmka and her parents Mancel and Charlotte Dear. Survived by her children, Anna Shuford, Lareaux (Philip) Chance, Buddy Smith, John Smith, Terri (Mike) Geer. Kerri Smith, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, Aunt Wylene Regions and other family members. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00am from the chapel of Wolf-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley, AL with Reverend Philip Chance officiating.
