FAIRHOPE, ALJoan Seright Berns, age 74, a native of Harrisburg, IL and a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013She was an active bridge player with the Nix Center and the Daphne Senior Center; a member of Eastern Shore Art Center, a volunteer at Thomas Hospital and Fairhope Library. She was an artist, a cook, an avid reader, and loved to travel throughout the worldShe was survived by a daughter, Stefanie Barber of Fairhope, sons Mark Hyler Berns of Duluth, MN. Adam Tipton Berns of Issaquah, WA., seven grandchildren: Timothy Mark Barber, Christopher Max Barber, Max Helmig Berns, Juliana Inder Berns, Michael Giorgio Erickson, Stefano Kenneth Erickson, Alexander Tipton Berns, other relatives and friends A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope, AL.
