Grace J. Ussery

DAPHNE Grace J. Ussery, age 89, a native of Scranton, PA. and a resident of Daphne for the last 28 years, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013. She was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church, she charted the Red Hatters “Jubilee Belles”, she was a volunteer at Thomas Hospital. Grace is survived by her husband, Clyde P. Ussery of Daphne; 1 daughter, Sharon A. Hulon of Fairhope; 1 son, Marvin (Sally) Ussery of Daphne; 3 grandchildren, Heidi Hulon, Brian (Stephanie) Hulon, Amy (Michael) Bartimus; 5 great-grandchildren, Spencer Joseph Shipman, Evan Chandler Shipman, Noah Thomas Byrd, Harrison Paul Byrd, Lillian Grace Hulon and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:30 AM Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8888 Hwy 64, Daphne. Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM at the church. Interment will follow at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort at 1:00 PM. She will be the first veteran spouse buried there.
