Robert Earl Hale Senior passed away on April 23rd, 2013 at the age of 66, after a five year battle with cancer. Robert was born in Texas City, Texas on May 2nd, 1946 to parents Mary Evelyn and Willis Selman Hale Sr., who both preceded him in death. Robert was a brother to six siblings, survived by one sister, Bonnie Anderson. As an infant, Robert survived the Texas City Disaster of 1947. Shortly after, Robert and his family moved to Mobile, Alabama, where they spent the next 50 years living in different areas of Mobile and Baldwin County. In the 1960’s, Robert graduated high school and began working as an auto parts salesmen. Soon after, he enlisted in the United States Army. After returning home from duty, Robert decided to go back to work as an auto parts salesman, where he continued advancing in his career. In 1998, Robert traveled to Anchorage, Alaska to help his youngest son and daughter-in-law start up their newly founded business. Robert lived in Alaska for the next 14 years before returning to his final resting place. Robert was a very genuine, outgoing person. Many of his family members thought he should be a stand-up comedian. He never met a stranger and always had something to say that would make you laugh. He loved the outdoors, fishing, golfing, and having family cookouts. Robert loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. He took pride in the many accomplishments they have achieved. Robert is survived by Charleen Hale, the mother of his children; Two sons, Robert Giattina and Richard Hale; Two daughters, Stacie Wilson and Tracie Hale; As well as several grand children and great-grandchildren.
