Annie Ruth Deloney Rosser

FOLEY, AL Annie Ruth Deloney Rosser of Foley made her journey to Heaven on April 2nd, 2013, and is safely in the arms of Jesus. She was 79. She is looking forward to having her husband of 59 years, Thomas G. Rosser Jr, join her for eternity and someday their children, Thomas G. Rosser III (April) of Bristol, TN, Robin Hill (Jimmy) of Gardendale, AL, Renee' Boley (Darrell) of Dothan, AL, Troy Rosser (Jennifer) of Mobile, AL and Tracy Rosser (Laura) of Rogers, AR and their 10 grandchildren will follow to join their parents and grandparents. Ruth was the daughter of the late John O. Deloney and his wife, Luna E. Deloney of Ozark, AL. Ruth is also preceded in death by her brothers Lonnie Deloney, James Deloney, Virgil Deloney and Dan Deloney. She also leaves behind four brothers: John Deloney of Daphne, AL, Hendrix Deloney of Moultrie, GA, Leslie Deloney of Liberty, TX, Wyatt Deloney of Mission Viejo, CA, and two sisters Audrey Terrell of Dangerfield, TX and Ethel Snellgrove of Fairhope, AL in addition to many nieces and nephews. Ruth was a dedicated Christian and a member of First Baptist Church, Foley. If ever an angel lived on Earth, Ruth had to be one as everyone who knew Ruth testified to this fact. Ruth attended the University of Alabama and also Auburn University where she played clarinet for both school bands. Ruth worked 12 years for the U.S. Dept. of State and U.S. Dept. of Commerce. Ruth and Tom were fortunate enough to travel to many countries together as required by their work. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, from 2 - 4 pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley, AL. A celebration of Ruth's life will follow in the Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home Chapel. Ruth will be taken to her birthplace of Ozark, AL for internment and graveside services at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5. The family would like to thank the Mitchell Cancer Institute and especially Dr. Michael Finan and his staff as well as AseraCare Hospice for the compassionate care provided.
