Edward Bruce "Ed" Wilson

FAIRHOPE, AL. Edward Bruce “Ed” Wilson, Age 85, born in New Jersey passed away in Fairhope, AL on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at a local hospital. He retired from the banking business and moved to Fairhope, AL in 1992. He was a member of the Baldwin Senior Travelers where he served as a director for eight years, he had a real interest in auto racing and attended the Indy 500 race for forty years. Ed also loved his 1964 corvette which he let go two years ago. He started the Knife and Fork group in the Welcome Newcomers and chaired for nine years. He is survived by his wife, Lucille “Lu” Wilson of Fairhope, AL; sisters-in-law, Ivy Welty of Wadsworth, OH and Gwen Everhard of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; nephews, David and Donn Everhard; nieces, Dawn Menser, Amy Miller and Claudia Snyder. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 11:00am at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00am until time of the service. Following the chapel service a reception will follow at the family residence. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to USA Mitchell Cancer Institute, 188 Hospital Dr., Suite 400, Fairhope, AL 36532. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth, OH.
