Martha N. McRae

DAPHNE, AL Martha N. McRae, age 77, native of Prichard and resident of Daphne, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Mrs. McRae was the former Director of the Women's  Ministries for Mobile and Baldwin County Assemblies of God. She spent many years as a missionary serving in India, Vietnam, Korea, Russia, China and South America. Mrs. McRae coordinated and was a guest speaker at numerous Women’s Conferences across the Gulfcoast. She enjoyed travelling with her husband all over the world. Mrs. McRae was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Nichols; sister, Faye Turberville and a brother, Rev. Robert Nichols. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, John A. McRae of Daphne; a son, Billy (Pam) Sasser of Chickasaw; a daughter, Lynda (Dr. Richard) Johnson of Bay Minette; two sisters, Daisy Wade of Mobile, Dorothy Nichols of Saraland; a brother, Richard Nichols of Mobile; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Greenhaw-Neal, Beth Rogers, Christopher Sasser, Jeffrey Sasser; eight great grandchildren and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Family Ministry Center in Fairhope. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Jubilee Memorial Gardens, Daphne. Memorial contributions may be made to Rays of Cross Ministries.
