SPANISH FORT John Alan Ingram, age 49, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, after a brief illness. He was born on July 29, 1963, in Mobile, Alabama, and was a longtime resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama. John is survived by his wife, Amanda Ellen Bauer Ingram, two sons, William Zachary Ingram and James Griffin Ingram, his mother, Mary Ann Lancaster Ingram, two brothers, James Franklin Ingram and Jeffery Lancaster Ingram, two nephews, Jeffery (Lance) Lancaster Ingram, Jr., and Brian Bauer, and many other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Franklin Ingram, grandparents Lawrence Franklin Ingram, Hily Florence Jane Ingram, James Franklin Lancaster and Bertha Adelaide Baxter Lancaster, as well as his lifelong friend, Lawrence Adams. John graduated from W. P. Davidson High School in 1981 and attended the University of South Alabama. An accomplished musician and avid sportsman, he played baseball in high school and was very active in the Spanish Fort community as a coach. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and spending time with friends. He truly had a great love for his sons, a very kind heart and quick wit, and will be dearly remembered as a devoted husband, father, coach and friend to many. Funeral services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Road in Mobile, on Friday, January 18 at 12:00 p.m. A visitation will follow from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
