DAPHNE Eddie Stumpfl, age 82, formerly of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at his home in Daphne, AL surrounded by family . He was born on June 1, 1930 in Newark, NJ to George Joseph and Ethel (Jakisa) Stumpfl. Eddie graduate from the Newark College of Engineering in 1957 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and went on to provide over 35 years of dedicated civil service with the US Department of Energy. He proudly served in the United States Navy and is an honorable veteran of the Korean War. Eddie was an active member and elder of the Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, and ardent servant of the Lord. He will be remembered by all those who knew him as a loving and dedicated friend, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Eddie was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Ann (Bucki), his parents, George Joseph Sr. and Ethel Jakisa Stumpfl, and his brother, George Joseph Stumpfl Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Sharon Lorentzen Stumpfl; daughters, Christine Paul, Erin Sawrie, and son, Edward (Michelle) Stumpfl; (4)grandchildren Kolten, Anna, Benjamin, Laura; and (2) great grandchildren, Isabella and Carlton.
