George Gustave Frederick Lenz

  FAIRHOPE, AL George Gustave Frederick Lenz born December 24, 1921 left his earthly home for his heavenly home January 12, 2013.   George was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fairhope where he served on the council, was the Sunday School Superintendent, a teacher and head of the Evangelism Committee. He was a member of the American Legion Post 199. He was a WW II veteran from 1942-1946.   He was an agent and an associate manager for Liberty National Life Insurance Company for 29 years.   George is preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Herrick, daughter, Barbara Lenz Busha and sister, Dorothy Callahan.   Survivors include his wife, Joy Reynolds Lenz, son, George (Polly) Lenz, Jr., daughters, Susan Lenz (Paul) Pacey, Deborah Lenz (Frank) Black, Diane R. (Fred) Garza, Vicki R. (Mark) Shull; son,  Robert (Marion) Reynolds; 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.   The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
