Elinor Cole Ryan

Ryan Orange Beach Elinor "Ellie" Cole Ryan died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at her home on Ono Island. Ellie was born in Trenton, NJ on February 11, 1925 to Joseph and Reba Stillwell Cole. She is a graduate of Trenton Central High School class of 42 and Centenary Junior College class of 44. She leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Edward Ryan; a daughter, Christine G. Ryan of Elberta, AL; a son, Thomas C.S. Ryan of Floyd, VA; two grandchildren, Jessica Ryan (Jessie) Wisnewski and Edward S. Ryan III (Erin); along with seven great grandchildren, Peyton, Jude, Elizabeth Elinor, Jonah, Jocelyn, Thomas and Emma. Ellie was a long time member of Orange Beach Presbyterian Church and a charter member of Ono Island Ladies Club. She was a tennis and golf enthusiast, enjoyed many years of sailing with her husband and loved being with her friends and family. There will be a memorial service at Orange Beach Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00am with a reception at the church following the service.
