FAIRHOPE Carol (Rogers) Bennett, age 69, a talented artist in several mediums, passed away surrounded by her children, December 15, 2012 in Fairhope, AL after a valiant two-year fight against cancer. Carol was born in Cleveland, OH to Fred Rogers and Gladys Smith (both preceding her in death). In death, she joins her “forever love” and husband Thomas Arthur Bennett. She met her husband at her 16th birthday party, fell immediately in love and they were married in June 1961. They had more than 50 years together before his 2010 passing from cancer. She was very thankful for the many friends she made through her church and volunteer work at a local thrift shop. Survivors include her children Barbara Ann (Charlie) Vendeville and Steven Thomas Bennett (Perry, Ohio and Ashtabula, Ohio, respectively); two grandchildren Cara Ann Vendeville and Matthew Thomas Vendeville; a sister Patricia Rembacki (Texas); as well as numerous and amazing friends.
