DAPHNE Hazel Collins Callaway, age 90, a native of Mobile and a longtime resident of Daphne, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. Hazel was a graduate of Convent of Mercy in Mobile. In her early years, she worked at Brookly Field Air Force Base, before moving to Baldwin County and becoming a secretary at Christ the King Catholic Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Callaway, Sr. She is survived by her son, Skip Callaway and his wife Claudia of Gulf Shores, Ron Callaway of New Berlin, WI; sister Louis Brasell of Mobile; grandchildren, Cam Callaway, Jeremy Callaway, Josh Callaway, Lindsay Oldham, Jennifer Callaway; great grandchildren, Cole Callaway, Adelynn Oldham, Presley Oldham, Hunter Callaway, Taylor Callaway; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until the service time. Interment will follow in Belforest Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
