Norman Portis Havens, Jr.

DAPHNE Norman Portis Havens, Jr. age 91, a native of Fontainebleau, MS and a long time resident of Daphne, AL. passed this life Wednesday, November 28, 2012 after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his parents Norman P. Havens, Sr. and Elizabeth Bragg Havens and his brother William R. Havens. Mr. Havens retired from the L&N/CSX railroad after 40+ years of service. His duties included being chief rate clerk and purchasing/inventory officer. He is survived by his sweet wife of 64 years, Lois Golden Havens of Daphne: one son, Stephen J. Havens of Cartersville, GA one daughter, Diane Havens-Owens of Mobile; and other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, November 30, 2012 from 10-11 am at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
