FAIRHOPE, AL Hazel F. Euler, 96, passed away at The Huntingdon of Homestead Village in Fairhope, AL on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.Mrs. Euler was born on November 4, 1916 in Point Clear, AL. to Godfrey and Mary Mannich Klumpp. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle William Euler, and her sister, Alice Klumpp (Warren) Linville.  Mrs. Euler is survived by her son, Lyle William “Bill” (Joni) Euler, Jr. of Spanish Fort; her sister, Bessie Klumpp Montgomery of Fairhope; three nieces, Louise Volvecky, Allison Linville (Richard) Brunson, and Kaye Disbro; two nephews, Joseph Allegri and Richard Wylie.  Mrs. Euler graduated from Fairhope High School in 1934. She married Joseph Berga and operated the only grocery store in the Belforest Community. Following his death in 1942, she moved to Fairhope where she operated Ann’s Dress Shop until her marriage in April 1950 to Mr. Lyle Euler, a contractor, who built numerous houses in the Fruit and Nut District of Fairhope. The Euler’s also owned and operated the Southside Grocery on Gaston Avenue until they sold it and moved to Pinckney, Michigan, where she worked for the United States Postal Service. After her retirement from the Postal Service, Mr. and Mrs. Euler returned to Fairhope, where she worked for her sister, Bessie, in the Town and Country Shop, until macular degeneration took most of her sight. Mrs. Euler was a long-time and devoted member of Saint Lawrence Catholic Church. In 2006, she moved into the Homestead Village assisted-living facility in Fairhope, where she enjoyed many friends and activities, particularly BINGO.  She also enjoyed the visits from her lifelong friend Daphne Dvorak. She was especially grateful to the staff of Homestead Village and the Huntingdon for their love and care in the last years of her life.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Huntingdon Activities Fund, 108 Homestead Village, Fairhope, AL. 36532 or The Haven, P.O.
