PARDA FOLEY, AL Thomas Francis Parda, age 72, born in North Hampton, MA; raised in Pensacola, FL and current resident of Foley passed away Friday, September 21, 2012. Tom was a US Army veteran and served during the Bay of Pigs Conflict. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, where he along with a small group of handy men “The Curmudgeons” completed many building projects. Tom was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Tom, “Mr. Fix It”, was known by many with the ability to repair everything, including rebuilding a family barn that was destroyed during a storm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Sally Parda and two brothers, Bill and Philip. He is survived by his wife, Cheri Drinkard Parda of Foley; three daughters, Brenda Hodge, Karen (Adam) Eurton, all of Birmingham, AL, Laura (Brian) Lavoie of Navarre, FL; a son, Christopher (Dawn) Dunaway of Foley; nineteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, September 24, 2012 at 11:00 am at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Foley, AL. Visitation will be Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the church.
