Fairhope, AL. Violet Dunlop, age 87, passed away suddenly early Thursday morning at Thomas Hospital. She was a native of New Jersey and a resident of Fairhope, AL. She was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fairhope. She was active in her community most recently as a volunteer at Thomas Hospital. She was an avid gardener, loved her family, church and community. She was a Yankee by birth but loved the South with all her heart. Mrs. Dunlop is preceded in death by her husband, George Dunlop and a brother, Ernie Wentzel. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Dunlop of Santa Rosa, CA; son, George (Linda) Dunlop of Pleasant Hill, CA; three grandchildren, Jessie Michael, Sarah Lucille and George Malcolm and her many friends in the Fairhope area. A Celebration of Mrs. Dunlop’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Redeemer Lutheran Church please call church for time. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
