Emily Shirley Pederson

FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA Emily Pederson, a resident of Fairhope, AL and long time resident of Pascagoula, MS passed away at the age of 75 on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in Fairhope, AL. Mrs. Pederson was born in Chicago, IL to Fred and Emma Hinz. Emily was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; William Hinz, Edward Hinz, Henry Hinz and Leonard Hinz all of Chicago. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Carl Pederson; daughter Carla Morgan of Mobile, AL; daughter Shelley (Clay) Compton of Slidell, LA; grandchildren, Emily Crow and Molly Morgan of Mobile, AL; Chase, Kayla and Troy Compton of Slidell, LA and Sister-in-laws, Marie Hinz and Ethel Hinz of Chicago, IL; Shirley Angen of Hibbing, MN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00am at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of the service. She was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She was affectionately known as “MeMe” to her grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org .
