L. "Jeff" Knox

FAIRHOPE, AL L. “Jeff” Knox, age 82, a native of Atlanta, GA, and resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012.He’s a graduate of Georgia Tech, played football for Georgia Tech and United States Army, and was the past President of Georgia International Insurance Company.  He was formerly employed by the Marriott Grand Hotel. He is survived by his wife of 60 yrs, Gloria Eye Knox of Fairhope, AL, daughter, Jeffney (Alan) Fletcher of Cumming, GA, 2 sons, George (Mary) Knox of Dallas, TX, Garth (Denise) Knox of Fairhope, AL, sister, Dorothy Ruth Durant of VA, 6 grandchildren, Tiffany, Katy, Drew, Christopher, Maci, Allie, 3 great grandchildren, Knox, Madeleine, Sloan, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 11:00 am, at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service.Interment will be held Arbovale Cemetery, Arbovale, WV.In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to L Jeff Knox Scholarship Foundation P.O.
