DAPHNE Marguerite Moore Pierce, age 87, a native of Alexander City, AL and a resident of Daphne, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012. Mrs. Pierce was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Opelika, AL. She retired as a librarian from the Opelika School System. She volunteered for 25 years at East Alabama Medical Center as a pink lady. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Walter Edwin Pierce, Sr., Sister, Annie Lou Cook, Brothers, Mac Moore, Barney Moore and Lee Moore. She was cherished by her family and is survived by her children, Walter Edwin Pierce, Jr. of Union, MS, Linda Pierce Rawajfih and her husband Zahir of Irbid, Jordan, Karen Pierce Sanders of Orange Beach, Timothy Mitchell Pierce and his wife Sherree of Daphne, twelve grandchildren, Melissa Pierce Webb and her husband Emmett, Michael Pierce and his wife Bellee, Yasmeen Rawajfih, Nabeel Rawajfih, Hadiah Rawajfih, Matthew Sanders and his wife Christie, Amanda Pierce, Payton Pierce, Houston Pierce, Stephen Pierce, Carlie and Ashlie Cline, two great grandchildren, Caroline and Ella Webb, over 20 nieces, nephews, many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from Trinity United Methodist Church, Opelika, Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00pm until 1:00pm. Interment will follow in City Cemetery, Alexander City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 800 2nd Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, or the charity of your choice.
