Foley, AL Beverly Rose Cook Shier age 79 passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012She was a member of Foley United Methodist Church. She was a former member of Lake Shore Presbyterian Church in St. Clair Shores, MI. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a great passion for music, and was a member of Sweet Adeline’s. She was an avid lover of history and reading.Preceded in death by her son Brian Scott Shier and her daughter Beth Anne Shier.Survived by her husband William “Bill” Shier, Jr. of Foley, AL; two sons William H. Shier III (Victoria) of St.Clair, MI and Kenneth A. Shier (Laura) of Cropwell, AL; Sister Judy C. Fisk of Macomb Township, MI; two grandchildren, Scott and Jessica Shier, both of St. Clair, MI, and Ashley Kay Palmer of Hoover, AL.Services will be held at Foley United Methodist Church, Foley, AL, Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 11:00am Visitation will be held one hour before services.
