Jewel Rae Baugh

BAUGH Jewel Rae Baugh, a native of Grove Hill, AL and a lifelong resident of Fairhope, AL, was born on January 9, 1937 and passed away on August 8, 2012. Known in Fairhope as simply "Miss Jewel," she was a devoted wife, loving mother and friend to all she met. Jewel retired from the City of Fairhope after 20 years career of cheerfully serving others and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Fairhope. Jewel was preceded in death by her husband: Shelton G. Baugh, parents: Owen and Lena Armistead, sisters: Ora Haddox and Trula Edge and one brother: O.T. Armistead. Jewel is survived by her son: Mike Baugh (Kathy), daughter: Lisa Moody (Patrick), grandchildren: Christina Goodman (Travis), Brack Harrell (Laken), Nathan Baugh, Lauren Scott (Ryan), Sean Floyd and Robert Baugh, sisters: Leila B. Newton, Nettie Craft, Dot Bell (Ernest), Merle Black (Billy) and one brother, Ralph Armistead (Maxine). Visitation will be Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview in Fairhope. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Fairhope. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in Jewel’s memory to the Thomas Hospital Foundation, P.O.
