Steven Lee States

FAIRHOPE, AL Steven Lee States, age 76, a native of Syracuse, NY, and resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Mr. States was retired Major US Air Force Pilot and served for 21 years including several tours in Vietnam.  Following his retirement from the Air Force, he worked with several companies as a corporate pilot.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward States and Marjorie States Danforth. He is survived by his wife, Patsy States of Fairhope, AL, son, Steven L. States, II of San Francisco, CA, stepdaughters, Jessica Phillips (Chris) King of Mobile, AL, Jennifer Lee Phillips of Fairhope, AL, two sisters, Joan States-Davidson of Orange Beach, AL, Ann States of Atlanta, GA, niece and nephews, Linde Lenz Britt, Michael W. Lenz, and Kevin P. Lenz, several grandchildren, and faithful companion, Max. The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope on Thursday, August 2, 2012, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
