Graves Ferrell Wynn

MOBILE, AL  Graves Ferrell Wynn, age 77, a native of Ariton, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL died March 29, 2012 at his home, surrounded by family and friends.  He was a devoted father, grandfather and a true friend to everyone whose path he crossed.  Mr. Wynn was born on August 13, 1934. He was a devoted employee of American General Insurance for 42 years. Prior to his employment with them, he served his country as a young man in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Marjorie Wynn, his only brother, Samuel Wynn and his son-in-law, John Lucia. Mr. Wynn is survived by his loving and caring wife of 56 years, Joann Wynn of Mobile; daughters, Beverly Lucia (Paul) Sliger of Gulf Shores and Melissa (James) Wetzel of Spanish Fort; grandchildren, Deanna (Bobby) Thompson of Magnolia Springs, Jonathan Lucia of Birmingham, Annice (Micah) Dean of Gulf Shores, Amanda Lucia (Sean Ware) of Selma, Alexis Wetzel of Spanish Fort; 8 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.    The family would like to thank devoted niece and nephews, Sonia Day, David and Sam Wynn, neighbors, Reggie Young and Tim Snyder. Doug and Sylvia Osborne, and friend, Gloria Moore. The family would also like to express their love for Mr. Wynn's best friend, Andy Simpler. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 3PM from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Home in Daphne. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 - 3:00PM prior to the service.
