Janice Marie Chastain

FAIRHOPE, ALJanice Marie Chastain, age 80, a native of Mobile, AL and resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012.   She retired from South Central Bell with 33 years of service.  Ms. Chastain was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Baldwin Senior Travelers, a volunteer with Thomas Hospital Auxiliary, and enjoyed playing cards at the Nix Center.   She is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace H. Chastain and Florence Ray Chastain, sister, Beatrice Russell, nephew, Scott Russell, adoptive mother, Mildred Broelman, and sister, Madeline Bonner.    Ms. Chastain is survived by her sister, Alida (Topper) Hart of Tuscaloosa, AL, niece, Adrienne Hart of Birmingham, AL, nephew, Kip (Juli) Hart of Tuscaloosa, AL, nephew, Paul (Mary Martha) Russell of Plano, TX, great nieces, Kelli and Sophi Hart of Tuscaloosa, great nephews, Mason and Bradyn Hart of Tuscaloosa, Christopher Russell of Plano, TX, Mike Russell of Plano, TX, special friends, Dot and Robert Burdette, Mary and Bill Hearon, John and Linda Schneider, Barbara Strauss and Sylvia Sapp.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 11:00 am, at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, AL, with Father Tim Deasy officiating..   The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, 711 College Ave, Daphne, AL 36526.   ARRANGEMENTS BY WOLFE-BAYVIEW FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, INC 27409 US HWY 98 DAPHNE, AL 36526 (251) 625-2900
