Jesse Franklin Tomlinson

DAPHNE Jesse Franklin Tomlinson, age 71, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL. He retired  after 27 years as a carman with Norfolk Southern, Mobile, AL., he was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, loved playing his guitar and singing at local assisted living nursing  homes, and he was a member of the Stapleton Baptist Church. Jesse is preceded in death by his Father, Riley H. Tomlinson and a son, Jeffrey Scott Tomlinson. He is survived by his son, Brett Tomlinson  and his former wife, Dorothy B. Tomlinson, both of Mobile. Mother Ada Y. Powell of Loxley; four sisters, Peggy T. Dickman of  Ohio, Dorothy T. Payton of Screven, GA.; Elsie T. Edwards of Foley; Jan Vanderford of Alaska; one brother, Jerry Tomlinson of Citronelle; Many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Jesse had the pleasure and good fortune of having three good dog friends, Dusty, Hobo and Toby. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from the Chapel of Wolf-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
