Daisy Vines

FAIRHOPE, AL Daisy N. Jordan Vines, age 89, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Fairhope Health and Rehab. She was a native of Bay Minette, and a resident of Fairhope since 1957. Mrs. Vines was a charter member of Fairhope Ave. Baptist Church. A Sunday school teacher for over 55 years, a member of Fairhope Chapter of Eastern Star, Phi Theta Kappa, and listed in Who’s Who in American Jr. Colleges.  She was a volunteer for Thomas Hospital, member of First Baptist Church, Fairhope, member of Old Biddes Club. She taught school at Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education, and Christ the King. Mrs. Vines was a retired St. of Al Employee, and a member of AARP. She is survived by four sons, William Ray Vines of Mobile, Edward E. (Suzanne) Vines of Stapleton, James D. (Mary Jane) Vines, and Mark R. (Cindy) Vines both of Fairhope. One sister, Sue Sciple of Mobile, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, AL, Wednesday, January 4, 2011 at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
