Katherine Elizabeth Sellers

DAPHNE Katherine Elizabeth Benton Sellers, age 85, a native of Bon Secour, AL and a long time resident of Daphne, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011, after a long illness. Mrs. Sellers was a registered nurse for forty-five years. She retired from USA Medical Center after more than thirty-two years of service. Along with her husband Roy, Elizabeth was actively involved for many years with the Buccaneer Yacht Club and the Gulf Yachting Association. She was a member of Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Sellers was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Sellers,Jr., Grandson, Art Rigas, Jr. and brother, Thomas Benton. She is survived by her daughters, Anita S. Rigas and her husband Art, of Daphne, Cathy S. O’Neal and her husband Pete, Peggy Sellers Partridge, all of Spanish Fort, Nancy S. Klooz and her husband Donan of Daphne, grandchildren, Laine Rigas, Ben Rigas and his wife Sarah, Trip O’Neal, Elizabeth White and her husband Ryan, Kerrie Partridge-Hrabar and her husband Geoff, Thad Partridge, Andrew Partridge, Caroline Strange and her husband Kevin, Anna Kern,great -grandchildren, Harper O’Neal, Katie Rigas, Annie and Charlie Rigas, sisters, Arabella Rachel, Annie Nelson, Mary Alice Passwater and her husband Rufus, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Sellers’ family would like to thank the nurses of Thomas Home Health, Covenant Hospice and Monica Anderson’s Sitter Service. A special thanks to Lisa, Gladys and Lillian. Graveside services and interment will be held Sunday, November 27, 2011, at 1:30pm at Jubilee Memorial Gardens. Memorial services will be held from Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church, Sunday, November 27, 2011, at 2:30pm. The family will receive friends following the service.
