DAPHNE, AL. Jimmie Charles Martin, age 70, a native of Elba and a resident of Daphne, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011, in Opelika . He was a member and Treasurer of Spanish Fort Church of Christ. Jimmie was the former purchasing manager for the Mobile Press Register and is a U. S. Army Vietnam veteran helicopter pilot. Jimmie is preceded in death by a grandchild, Emma Elizabeth Martin, his parents, Jim and Gladys Martin and his brother, Billie Clyde Martin. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita H. Martin of Daphne; one son, Sean (Wendy) Martin of St. Louis, MO; one daughter, Tonya (Richard) Turner of Smiths Station, AL.; one sister, Mary Emma Cutchen of Pensacola, FL; two grandchildren, Ryan Martin Turner and Regan Turner, both of Smiths Station, AL. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, Visitation will held one hour prior to the service.
