Matthew Pritchett Dial, Jr.

FAIRHOPE, AL Matthew Pritchett Dial, Jr., age 90, a native of Thomaston, AL and a long time resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011. Mr. Dial was a retired Army Air Corp Captain.  He has been a member of First Baptist Church of Fairhope since 1951, where he was the first treasurer and a former music director. Mr. Dial was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Smith Dial, and daughter, Victoria Elaine Lindsey. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth “Libby” Dial Higgins and her husband Ronald, of Palm Coast, FL, Amy G. Dial, of Fairhope, grandchildren, Matthew Colby Joyner, of Fairhope, Christopher “Chris” Russell Joyner and his wife Carla, of Daphne, Andrew “Drew” Tucker Lindsey and his wife Crystal, of Loxley, Katherine S. Pilkerton and her husband Michael, of Birmingham, Sarah Lindsey Stroecker, of Atlanta, great grandchildren, Tucker Brylan Lindsey, Carson Russell Joyner, Kyndall Victoria Lindsey, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a very special friend, Mary Glover Foote. The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Thursday, November 3, 2011, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.Funeral services will be held from First Baptist Church of Fairhope, Friday, November 4, 2011, at 11:00am.
